Craft in the Classroom is a visual arts based educational programme which provides training for makers and teachers in the design and delivery of creative crafts projects for children in classroom contexts.

The Artist in Residence Programme places on average six artists in residence in Primary Schools in Kilkenny city and county each year. Artists take up residency in the schools, introducing teachers and their students to creative ideas and methods of exploration, communication and experimentation in the contemporary arts that can be applied to the relevant art strands in the primary school curriculum.
