Since its launch in August 2002, Mermaid Arts Centre has made a splash in the artistic and cultural life of County Wicklow. Mermaid presents an ambitious programme of performance including innovative dance and theatre, cutting edge music and art-house cinema. Mermaid has a strong visual arts presence through its gallery and screening programmes.

Crafts Council of Ireland

The Crafts Council of Ireland (CCoI) is the main champion of the craft industry in Ireland, fostering its growth and commercial strength, communicating its unique identity and stimulating quality design, innovation and competitiveness. CCoI's  activities are funded by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment via Enterprise Ireland.

Tate Liverpool presents displays of work from the Tate collection alongside special exhibitions of modern and contemporary art. The special exhibition programme, presented on the Gallery’s fourth floor, brings together works from national and international collections, both public and private.

Located in Dublin's city centre, Dublin City Gallery The Hugh Lane, which is part of Dublin City Council, houses one of Ireland's foremost collections of modern and contemporary art. The original collection, donated by the Gallery's founder Sir Hugh Lane, has now grown to include some 2,000 artworks, ranging from the Impressionist masterpieces of Manet, Monet, and Degas to works by leading national and international contemporary artists. The Gallery is a significant learning institution and resource for visual arts and related arts activities in Dublin. Through the community programmes which are carried out both on site and in the community, Kids Club programme, adult courses, schools programme, in service training and public lectures and tours, the Gallery caters for a multiplicity of audiences from children aged three right through to the actively retired.

The Butler Gallery is a contemporary art gallery located in the former kitchens of Kilkenny Castle. Funded for the most part by the Arts Council of Ireland, it exhibits work by emerging and established Irish and international living artists. Alongside the exhibition programme, the Butler Gallery runs a rich and diverse education and outreach programme. It also exhibits and loans work from the Butler Gallery Collection, established in 1943 with the founding of the Kilkenny Art Gallery Society.

Modern Art Oxford is the largest gallery devoted to modern and contemporary art in the South East of England. Founded in 1965, the gallery has a national and international reputation for the quality of its exhibitions and accompanying community and education programme. From landmark solo presentations to pioneering group exhibitions, Modern Art Oxford keeps you up to date with the most exciting developments in international art.

Emma Smith has a social practice that is both research and production based and responds to site-specific issues. Using organised events, performance, participation, film, photography, sound, drawing and painting, she explores the art of everyday life, investigating human engagement with space and in particular the psychological impact of space on human understanding and behavior. As part of her practice she regularly collaborates with other artists and works in multi- disciplinary teams.

The Lewis Glucksman Gallery is a cultural and educational institution that promotes the research, creation and exploration of the visual arts. Located at University College Cork, the Glucksman provides a diverse programme of exhibitions and events that aim to create discursive relationships between academic disciplines and art practice.
